Uganda suspends all public transport to prevent the spread of the coronavirus after 14 confirmed cases

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Wednesday night declared the suspension of all public transport for 14 days with fast outcome in a bid to avoid the spread of the coronavirus. 


Museveni built the announcement in a televised stay handle adhering to a cabinet conference immediately after new scenarios of coronavirus have been verified earlier in the day.


“The federal government has decided to suspend, for 14 times, all community transport. This signifies all taxis, all minibuses, all buses, all passenger trains, all tuk tuks and all the boda bodas are suspended. Why? For the reason that we want to minimize movement,” Museveni explained.


Only non-public vehicles will be allowed on road but they will also be restricted to carrying 3 people today.


The Ugandan president also ordered that all markets investing in non-foodstuff products like electronics and outfits really should be closed.


“The promoting of clothes, necklaces, cellular telephones, sandals, shoes, all people nonfood items…hold on, you will occur again. To produce room, stay at house, enable only the foods people keep in the current market.
